Riverside & San Bernardino County gas prices continue to fall

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regulargasoline in the Inland Empire declined today for the eighth consecutive day,dropping six-tenths of a cent to $4.243.

The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties is 4.3 centsless than one week ago and 11.5 cents less than one year ago, but 15.7 centsmore than one month ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil PriceInformation Service.

“Most California refineries have concluded their scheduled maintenancein advance of selling summer gasoline without major incidents and one result isthat wholesale gasoline prices in Los Angeles have fallen more than 40 centsper gallon since peaking on Feb. 5,” Jeffrey Spring of the Automobile Club ofSouthern California said.

“While local prices are still significantly above $4 per gallon, it isnice to see them start to drop before spring break begins.”
