Hiker airlifted to hospital after becoming dehydrated

A hiker suffering from dehydration was airlifted to ahospital today.

Firefighters came to the aid of the unidentified woman about 9:55 a.m.at Fargo Canyon and Dillon Road in Indio, Riverside County Fire Departmentspokeswoman Melody Hendrickson said.

No other injuries were reported.
