Results of last night’s DUI checkpoint in Palm Springs

One motorist was arrested for alleged drunkendriving during an overnight sobriety checkpoint police operated in PalmSprings, a sergeant said today.

Four people were cited for driving with a suspended license while fiveothers with cited for unlicensed driving during the checkpoint police officersoperated Friday night in the 2000 block of East Ramon Road, Palm Springs policeSgt. Mike Kovaleff said.

Out of the 621 vehicles that passed through the checkpoint, 16 weredirected to a separate area where one field sobriety test was done. Fourvehicles were towed during the operation, Kovaleff said.
