Local driver arrested on DWI charges after crashing truck

At around 8:30 Wednesday night a Cathedral City man was arrested on DWI charges after overturning his truck in Rancho Mirage.

23-year-old Hector Montano was driving his tan Chevy truck on Da Vall Dr approaching the intersection with Los Cocos Ct when he struck a curb andthe truck overturned.

Montano suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Two passengers in the truck were not injured.

Police determined alcohol was a factor in the accident and Montano was arrested for driving while intoxicated and booked into the county jail in Indio.
