Palm Desert Fred Waring construction to slow traffic over the coming week

Fred Waring is getting a make-over. The heavily traveled roadway is down to one lane in both directions for slurry sealing until next Friday, April 19th. Different sections will be sealed daily. Construction will begin at 8 a.m. and end at 4:30 daily. The City of Palm Desert advises commuters to take alternate routes, possibly Highway 111 or Interstate 10.

FRIDAY, APRIL 12 – Fred Waring Drive in both directions between Eldorado Drive and Cook Street in both directions.

SATURDAY, APRIL 13 – Fred Waring Drive in both directions between Washington Street and Warner Trail and between Cook Street and Deep Canyon Road.

MONDAY, APRIL 15 – Portola Avenue in both directions between Gerald Ford Drive and Dinah Shore Drive.

TUESDAY & WEDNESDAY, APRIL 16 & 17 – Fred Waring Drive in both directions between Alsaska Avenue and Eldorado Drive.

THURSDAY, APRIL 18 – Fred Waring Drive in both directions between Warner Trail and Alaska Avenue.

FRIDAY, APRIL 19 – Dinah Shore Drive in both directons between Monterey Avenue and Portola Avenue.
