Search continuing for missing 74-year-old with heart condition
Concern was growing today about the welfare of a74-year-old man who suffers from dementia and wandered away from his MorenoValley residence.
Lee Carson Clayton was last seen around noon Sunday near his family’shome in the 15000 block of Perris Boulevard, according to the Riverside CountySheriff’s Department.
A city-wide search last night using the sheriff’s helicopter andtracking dogs proved fruitless, sheriff’s Sgt. Nathan Padilla said.
He said Clayton has a heart condition and requires a daily regimen ofblood-pressure medication.
Family members told sheriff’s investigators that Clayton is new to thearea and could have easily become disoriented.
The missing man is described as black, 6-foot-4 with a thin build. Hehas a mustache and medium-length hair. According to Padilla, Clayton waswearing a white T-shirt, denim jeans and a tan hat with blue writing on it whenhe wandered away.
He has previously been found in the area of Cactus Avenue and PerrisBoulevard.
