Earthquake hits near Anza

An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.5 struck today four miles north-northwest of Anza, according to the U.S. Geological Survey, but there were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.

The quake struck at 10:45 a.m. 15 miles east-southeast of Hemet and 16 miles south-southwest of Palm Springs, according to the USGS.
