Two brush fires burn in east valley

We are following two brush fires in the east valley.

One is in Coachella on Fillmore, near Airport Boulevard. The second brush fire is in Thermal, near Avenue 62 and Pierce.

5:42 p.m. update: The15 acre fire has been contained. It started at 3:30 p.m. Cal Fire is patrolling the area to make sure the fire does not spread. Fire officials are investigating the cause. No structures were damaged and no injuries have been reported.
