Outage in Cathedral City leaves over 800 without power
A faulty cable sparked a power outage today in Cathedral City that initially affected 818 businesses and residents, a Southern California Edison spokeswoman said.
The outage was reported at 9:53 a.m. when the equipment failure occurred near Bankside Drive and Commercial Road, SoCal Edison spokeswoman Caroline Aoyagi said.
By 10:30 a.m. there were only three customers without power, Aoyagi said.
