Missing 82 year old Palm Springs woman found

A missing 82-year-old woman has been located, Palm Springs police said Monday morning.

The woman, referred to only as Maria, was walking on Avenida Ortega in Cathedral City around 4:30 p.m. Saturday, headed toward a bus stop, where she planned to board a bus to Palm Springs, a police statement said. She never reached Palm Springs, police said, adding it is not known if she got on the wrong bus and ended up in an unfamiliar city.

But Maria has been found, police said today without elaboration.
