Sneak peak of Hard Rock Hotel Palm Springs
The general manager of the Hard Rock Hotel in Palm Springs, Hector Moreno, described the new hotel.
“Hip, cool. We want to be a little different than everyone else,” Moreno said.
Many people hope it will bring some new energy to the desert.
Room rates start at $159.00. We toured the new hotel, still the in the works – and watched the construction of the world famous Rock Shop , a local hot-spot lobby bar and of course, the pool.
“The pool has actually doubled in size from what it used to be. We will have about six cabanas in the pool deck area. Nine ultra deluxe rooms with private patios and terraces,” Moreno said.
Here’s what it means for the Coachella Valley.
“Our goal is to have several pool parties, probably one weekly. Live shows and events out here. Just trying to keep it real,” Moreno said.
We asked people to tell us what the Hard Rock will do for the desert. Those we talked to all referenced it drawing in young people.
Moreno insists all ages will benefit, though.
“One of our mottos is “love all, serve all.” We’re not targeting any specific age group, but we will have fun with it,” Moreno said.
The hotel will open end of September – but the first night guests can stay over is October 4th. They’re taking reservations now.
The Hard Rock will host a job fair later this month. It will be held on August 23rd at the Palm Springs Convention Center and run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The company is looking to fill roughly 100 full and part time jobs. Some positions include management, front desk representatives, concierge services, and housekeeping.
