Dine out for a cause

Animal Samaritans in Thousand Palms will be holding two separate fundraisers in the coming months to support on-going operations and programs at the shelter.

The first fundraiser will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 10, at Bill’s Pizza in Palm Springs. Diners can enjoy any meal and learn about the upcoming Walk for the Animals event taking place on Nov. 9 in Palm Springs. Fifteen percent of all proceeds will be donated to the shelter. The fundraiser will run from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Another fundraiser will be held at California Pizza Kitchen on Wednesday, Oct. 2, all day. Twenty percent of your check will be donated to the organization.

Participation in the fundraising events will support a professional, state-of-the-art veterinary clinic at the Animal Campus in Thousand Palms. You will also help support a free Pet Therapy program for local seniors, hospital patients and disabled children.

Animal Samaritans rescues more than 100 at-risk dogs and cats from our local public shelters yearly through its Adoption Alliance animal rescue program.
