Report of squatters lead to foot pursuit, closure of road in Cathedral City
A report of squatters staying at a home in Cathedral City led to a foot pursuit and closure of a road this afternoon.
According to Capt. Robinson from CCPD, theyreceiveda report of squatters staying at a home in Cathedral City. When officers arrived at the home, one suspect fled and a foot pursuit ensued.
Our crew on scene confirms police have blocked off Avenida La Vista near the home.

Update (3:32 p.m.) – According to CCPD, CHP is taking over the investigation due to the fact twoallegedlystolen cars are in the garage of the home. The home was was vacant. Two people were detained at the scene and a third fled on foot, but was later captured.
