Palm Springs High School homecoming parade to roll down Palm Canyon Drive

Palm Springs High School is scheduled to hold its annual homecoming parade in downtown Palm Springs Wednesday afternoon.

The parade will start at Baristo Road at 3:30 p.m. and head north on Palm Canyon Drive, ending at Alejo Road. The parade will include members of the Palm Springs City Council, Palm Springs Unified School District board and the school’s marching band and other school groups, according to city spokeswoman Amy Blaisdell.

Local Mexican restaurant Las Casuelas Terraza will continue its tradition of handing out free burritos to the football players as they go down Palm Canyon, Blaisdell said.

Palm Springs will play Coachella Valley High in the homecoming game on Friday at 7 p.m. at Palm Springs High’s stadium, 2401 E. Baristo Road.
