Indio Learning Center celebrates opening

There’s a new childcare and pre-school option for parents in the East Valley. The Indio Learning Center celebrated the opening of its doors with a ribbon cutting ceremony Tuesday.

“We’re really excited that we are opened! The school program opened in the spring of last year and the pre-school program just opened a couple weeks ago,” said Bermuda Dunes Learning Center Executive Director, Gayle Clark.

Parents say finding a place like this can be really difficult.

“It’s sad because there’s such a need for quality child care and we hear of child care centers closing throughout Riverside,” added Clark.

Indio Learning Center is more than just a place to drop your kids off, it offers them the opportunity to interact with other children and get an early start on their education.

“I would love for other parents to have the opportunities that I have–to be able to come and bring their child and, like I said, know that they’re in a safe place and they’re enjoying their time, they’re interacting with other kids, getting ready for kindergarten, ” said parent, Caroline Ocampo.

The cost of enrolling children at Indio Learning Center is tailored to meet parents budgets.

“The tuition is based on families income, so many of the families that are attending here are not paying any tuition and some are paying a very minimal fee per day,” said Clark.

The Indio Learning Center is a branch of the Bermuda Dunes Learning Center. The new facility still has openings. If interested, check out their website or call them at (760) 772-7127.
