Assault with Deadly Weapon in Cathedral City

Saturday night at about 7:30 PM, a 53-year-old man appears to have been the victim of an assault by a 30-year-old woman in Cathedral City.

Officers from the Cathedral City Police Department responded to the 68200 block of Ramon Road to find the victim bleeding heavily from his upper body.

Information obtained by the officers indicated the victim was in the 68300 block of Ramon Road speaking with a friend, when he was struck with an unknown object from behind. The victim fled the location on foot to where he was located by officers.

The victim – a Cathedral City resident – was transported to a local hospital by paramedics, where he was listed in “Stable” condition.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic, Female, around 30 years of age, 5’05” height, 190 lbs, Brown hair. The suspect was last seen wearing flower print shirt and white pants.

She was last seen running west on Ramon Road from the location. Officers conducted an extensive area search for the suspect, but were unable to locate her in the area.
