Indio’s 28th annual Southwest Arts Festival gets underway at the Empire Polo Club

The Indio Chamber of Commerce’s 28th annual Southwest Arts Festival will begin a three-day run today.

About 250 artists from around the country will showcase their work at the festival, which runs through Sunday at the Empire Polo Club in Indio.

The festival, including food and live entertainment, opens at 10 a.m. and runs until 5 p.m. Admission is $8 for adults and free for those 16 and under. A two-day pass is $12.

Parking is $8 for valet and $5 at Monroe Street and Avenue 51.

No dogs are allowed.
