Previewing this year’s 36th district campaign

Rep. Raul Ruiz will face a challenge from Republican State Assemblyman Brian Nestande and possibly former State Assemblyman Ray Haynes, also a Republican.

The democratic incumbent was first elected when he defeated Former Congresswoman Mary Bono in 2012 in a very close election.
