Pre-academy awards party held in Palm Desert tonight
A pre-Academy Awards party will be held at the Palm Desert Campus of U-C Riverside on Frank Sinatra Drive starting at 6 tonight.
The event will start with a red carpet rollout at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Snacks will be served, clips of nominees will be shown and attendees will learn about the process of awarding the Oscars.
Speakers will include film producer John Schimmel, screenwriter William Rabkin and writer and critic Tod Goldberg.
They’re all faculty members.
The real 86th Academy Awards will be handed out in Hollywood on March 2nd.
