Lanes reopned on HWY. 62 after crash

A single car crash affected traffic on Highway 62 just east of Indian Canyon Drive Monday afternoon.

One northbound lane was blocked and both southbound lanes were closed to traffic for close to an hour and a half, according to officials.

One vehicle crashed into the center median. Officials said five people were in the car and all were taken to the hospital. One person was moderately injured and the other four were only slightly injured.

CAL Fire and Riverside County firefighters responded to the crash and were assisted by the Morongo Fire Department.

All lanes were reopened around 3:30 p.m.
