La Quinta Arts Festival begins

The La Quinta Arts Festival will get under way Thursday and run through Sunday.

The 32nd annual festival is listed as the No. 1 fine art festival and fine craft festival in the Art Fair SourceBook, according to the La Quinta Arts Foundation, which organizes the event.

More than 200 artists will display their work in a variety of mediums, including ceramics, pastels, glass, jewelry, painting, photography and sculpture. Attendees can also listen to live music and buy food from local restaurants.

Wine and beer will be available.

The event — to run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day at the La Quinta Civic Center — benefits the La Quinta Arts Foundation.

Admission is $12 for a single day and $15 for a pass that covers all four days at the gate; $12 four-day passes can be purchased online. Admittance is free for children 12 and under.
