No injuries reported after fire breaks out at a home in Indio

Firefighters have contained an overnight fire at an Indio home.

Crews were called to the 81300 block of Green Avenue at 1:10 Monday morning.

More than two dozen firefighters were called to fight the fire at the single story home.

“The first arriving engine company reported an 1,100 sq. ft., single story residential structure involved with fire,” said Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson.

Crews were able contain the flames in about ten minutes.

No injuries reported.

There were 24 firefighters on the scene with two engines and one truck,

she said.
