Major roads reopened following closures from blowing sand and dust
Palm Springs Police said all roads in and out of the city were open again early Tuesday morning following several closures Monday.
Windy weather forced the closure of three major roads into Palm Springs Monday evening.
Palm Springs Police announced the closure of Vista Chino and Gene Autry Trail at their White water wash crossings south of Interstate 10 at 7:30 p.m.
Indian Canyon Road was closed at the wash three hours earlier.
Police said the poor visibility due to gusting winds and blowing sand made for unsafe driving conditions.
All three roads reopened to motorists at 4:45 a.m. Tuesday morning.
