Indio man arrested in La Quinta stabbing attack

An Indio man was taken into custody after being accused in a stabbing attack outside a La Quinta restaurant early Monday morning.

The Riverside County Sheriffs Department said investigators from its Thermal station arrested 31-year-old Frank Sebastian Robles on Wednesday.

Members from the La Quinta Police Special Enforcement Team assisted with the arrest.

Robles allegedly stabbed another patron in an outdoor patio area at the Beer Hunter Sports Pub and Grill Restaurant at 12:30 a.m. Monday morning.

Invesigators say Robles and the other man had gotten into a fight.

Witnesses said Robles stabbed the man then ran off.

The other man, a 50-year-old, was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

Robles was booked at the Riverside County Jail in Indio for attempted murder and for being a felon in possession of ammunition.
