Jurors view scene of murder case in Coachella

There was quite a bit of police activity in a Coachella neighborhood Thursday morning, but it was related to a crime that was committed years ago, according to authorities.

A jury in a murder case was taken to the area as part of a criminal examination.

Tripoli Way and Bagdad Avenue were blocked off while jurors were at the scene and a local school was placed on lockdown for a short time as well, police said.

There were several police and unmarked cars at the scene in addition to an armored swat vehicle.

Authorities were in place to protect the identities of the jury.

Jurors are no longer at the scene and all activity in the area is back to normal, according to police.
