Day 2: More road closures on Palm Drive in Desert Hot Springs

CHP said Palm Drive south of Desert Hot Springs will be closed intermittently again on Tuesday between Varner Road and 20th Avenue.

Officer Mike Radford said utility crews are working in the area and pulling electrical cables across the roadway.

Radford said drivers should take Mountain View Road and N. Indian Canyon as alternate routes.

The road faced lengthy closures Monday for the same project.
