Human skull found under Desert Hot Springs home

Deputies from the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station found a human skull underneath a home in the 18500 block of Roberts Road on Monday morning.

They were called to the residence around 7 a.m. after two men working in the area made the discovery. The identity of the remains is unknown. Authorities said the skull will be examined on April, 18.

Detectives from the Central Homicide Unit and the Palm Desert Sheriff Station are handling the investigation.

Anyone who may have information is asked to contact Investigator Freeman from the Central Homicide Unit at 760-393-3530.

The skull found on Tuesday is the second such find in the area in the last few days. On Friday, human bones were found in a desert area north of Cabazon near Power Line and Millard Canyon roads.

That person’s identity also hasn’t been determined.
