Man identified after deadly crash in Palm Desert
An elderly man died Monday night after his vehicle veered off westbound Dinah Shore Drive near Monterey Avenue in Palm Desert.
The Riverside County Coroner identified the man as 77-year-old John Greene from Toronto, Ontario Canada.
Green was pronounced dead just after 5:30 p.m.
Police believe a medical emergency caused his death and led to the crash, but the incident is still being investigated by the coroner’s office and deputies with the Palm Desert Station.
Dinah Shore Drive was shut down in the area while police and emergency crews were on scene.
