One person killed and a second hurt in Saturday night crash

Cal Fire reports one person killed and a second hurt in Saturday night crash on Highway 243.

The accident happened Saturday at 8:44 p.m.on Highway 243 about a half of a mile north of Highway 74.

CAL FIRE reports apassenger vehicle and a SUV where involved.

One person died at the scene, while a second was transported to a hospital by Mercy Air Ambulance withmoderate injuries.

No word on the cause of the crash.
