Deputies find man dead and woman shot in Indian Wells home

Deputies with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department are investigating two deaths with strange circumstances at a home in the Indian Wells Country Club.

Authorities received the call at about 4:10 a.m. Friday. They found the man dead and a woman with a gunshot wound at a home on the 77-000 block of Sioux Drive in Indian Wells.

The woman was taken to a hospital where she later died from her wound. Sheriff investigators said in a news release that it appears to be an isolated incident and they believe all parties involved are accounted for.

The Coroner’s office has not released the ages or names of the victims at this time.

We first heard about the incident when a neighbor called News Channel 3 and CBS Local 2 Friday morning and said the street was blocked off at the corner of Manitou Drive and Sioux Drive.
