La Quinta Softball Wins DVL Title Outright, Other High School Sports Action
Angelo Caruso (@SportswithAC) brings you the high school roundup around the Coachella Valley. In softball, La Quinta claimed the outright DVL championship with an 11-1 win over Palm Desert. In baseball, Palm Desert and Palm Valley turned in undefeated league seasons in the DVL and Majestic, respectively, beating La Quinta 3-2 and Calvary Chapel 11-7. The Cathedral City baseball team earned a trip to the CIF playoffs with a 7-2 win over Palm Springs. And in boys tennis, Palm Springs fell to Sunny Hills 11-7 in a CIF playoff match.
