Police say 6 Coachella Valley sex offenders were found “not in compliance”

Six sex offenders were found in violation of their registration requirements during a compliance sweep in the Coachella Valley Wednesday.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Palm Desert station said it operated the sweep from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, Thousand Palms, Sky Valley, Painted Hills and South Desert Hot Springs.

Charges will be filed against the six offenders who weren’t in compliance, sheriff’s Deputy Armando Munoz said. Their names weren’t immediately released.

During the sweep, authorities did 30 compliance checks, a parole search, two probation searches and 10 residence searches, Munoz said.
