California Highway Patrol to hold recruiting seminar at College of the Desert

The California Highway Patrol will hold a recruiting seminar in Palm Desert Wednesday night.

Attending the seminar at the College of the Desert’s Public Safety Academy is “highly recommended” for anyone who wants to apply with the CHP, Officer Mike Radford said.

The seminar at 6:00 p.m. will cover the hiring process, how to prepare for testing, the academy in Sacramento and job opportunities after academy graduation, he said.

People 20 to 35 years old who have a high school diploma, are a U.S. citizen and can pass a physical exam and background check are eligible to apply.

Reservations are required for the seminar. To RSVP, email 601_recruitment@chp.ca.gov; confirmation will be sent back if there is space.
