Parade of Planes information announced for 2014 event

The 2014 Aviation Summit will host the crowd-favorite Parade of Planes at the event scheduled for Oct. 31-Nov. 2 in Palm Springs, officials announced Friday.

The Parade of Planes is set for Thursday, Oct. 30 through Sunday, Nov. 2.

The planes will taxi from the Palm Springs International Airport to the Palm Springs Convention Center, traveling down East Alejo Road to North Avenida Caballeros to the cheers of participants and fans, officials said in a statement on Friday.

The parade is reversed on Sunday, Nov. 2, as the planes will taxi back to the airport.

“There’s nothing quite like the Parade of Planes anywhere else in the country,” said Marco Parrotto, president of Lift Event Management, who is planning and organizing the event. “It allows fans to get up close and personal with some of the most sophisticated aircraft in the country and in the world.”

Numerous planes are expected to participate and hundreds will be lining the streets to feel the power of the aircrafts.

Also participating in the parade are exotic luxury cars from Dream Racing, a company from Las Vegas that allows fans to drive cars like a Ferrari F430 GT around Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Officials said Dream Racing will be on site at the Aviation Summit providing attendees the experience to drive some of the finest vehicles in the world.

The Parade of Planes is a great kickstart of the Summit, which will host 10,000 pilots, industry experts and aircraft enthusiasts, and give attendees the opportunity to see the latest products, talk to industry experts and see the unveiling of the Triton Aircraft Concept.

The Triton gives passengers breakthrough panoramic views and luxury accommodations never before seen in sightseeing adventures and luxury travel, according to summit coordinators.

Lift Event Management, headquartered in Las Vegas, is producing the 2014 Aviation Summit. The highly anticipated weekend will include three days of events, education, parties and parades.

This event will be an outstanding opportunity to learn about new products, receive technical advice from manufacturers and participate in hands-on demonstrations.

Lift partners include three avid pilots, two of whom are current/former military pilots. The Lift team has a combined 60 years of business leadership and venture capital experience, and 25 years of trade show management experience, according to the release.
