Sister of deadly shooting victim seeks justice

The family of a man gunned down in Indio last week is hoping someone with information will come forward.

The sister of 20-year old Juan Carlos Hernandez spoke to News Channel 3. She asked that we not show her face or use her name.

She says her brother was pulled over, in his car, on the side of the road in the Lancer Gate neighborhood near Monroe St. and Miles Ave. when the shooting happened around 10:30 p.m..

A cousin was in the car at the time of the shooting and didn’t see who pulled the trigger.

His sister says, “They heard a voice, a deep voice, saying what are you guys doing here?”

She describes her brother as a happy person who didn’t want to bother anyone.

If you have any information on this shooting, call Indio Police or Valley Crime Stoppers at 760-341-STOP.
