Palm Springs Power offers fans free admission for donating to local food bank

Baseball fans can get free admission to the Palm Springs Power’s game tonight if they bring an item for a local food bank.

The team is hosting the drive to benefit several food banks, including FIND Food Bank in Indio and Manna Food in Cathedral City.

Anyone who brings non-perishable food gets a free ticket to the team’s 7:05 p.m. game against the Inland Valley Buccaneers at Palm Springs Stadium.

The Power is part of the Southern California Collegiate Baseball League, which recruits college athletes to play baseball in June and July.
