Man stabbed to death in Yucca Valley

Investigators with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department arrested a man in connection to a deadly stabbing that occurred early Tuesday morning in Yucca Valley.

Just before 4 a.m., deputies with the Morongo Basin station found an elderly man in an RV that was parked at Home Depot, located in the 58000 block of Twentynine Palms Highway. The man was suffering from apparent stab wounds and died at the scene.

Around 9:30 a.m., deputies arrested James Adam Webb in the Paradise Valley area. The stabbing suspect tried to run from authorities but was quickly taken into custody.

According to the sheriff’s department, the investigation revealed the victim was possibly killed during a carjacking. Webb is charged with murder and is currently behing held at the Morongo Basin Jail without bail.

The victim’s name isn’t being released until his family is notified.

The investigation continues, anyone with information about the crime is asked to call Detective Jon Woods or Sergeant Trevis Newport with the sheriff’s Homicide Division at 909-387-3589.
