Sheriff’s dept. holds first golf tournament to benefit SafeHouse

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is announcing its first ever golf tournament to benefit SafeHouse of the Desert — a nonprofit organization in Thousand Palms that offers help to youth and families dealing with crisis.

The tournament takes place at Classic Club in Palm Desert on Saturday, September 20. It costs $450 per foursome and $125 for a single golfer. Entry fee will include golf, a golf cart w/ GPS, driving range privileges, a welcome bag, luncheon, five raffle tickets, unlimited beverages and prizes.

All contributions are tax deductible.

The tournament is a shotgun scramble format. Check in time is 6:30 a.m to 7:30 a.m. and you can grab coffee and pastries before teeing off. The first group will tee off at 8 a.m.

The golf course is located at 75200 Classic Club Boulevard in Palm Desert.

You must fill out a registration form in order to participate in the tournament. You can also find a contact number on the form if you have any additional questions.
