Application period running out for Coachella Valley Spotlight grants

The Coachella Valley Spotlight is accepting applications for 2015, but the period to apply is quickly coming to an end. You must apply by Friday, Sept. 19 in order to give your nonprofit organization a chance at a $25,000 grant.

All Coachella Valley nonprofits that haven’t previously received the $25,000 grant are eligible.

Twelve organizations will be selected and each month in 2015, a recipient will be featured on CBS Local 2’s Coachella Valley Spotlight segment and will also be mentioned online and in public announcements.

So far, nearly $1.6M have been given to local nonprofits by the H.N. and Frances C. Berger Foundation.

If you know of any organization that you think is worthy of this grant, applications can be filled out here and you can also access more information. The application must be postmarked by Friday, September 19.

Organizations that are selected will be notified by December 2014.
