Drowning victim’s body recovered at PGA West in LaQuinta
The body of a 45 year-old man who drowned when he fell out of rowboat he was working from on a La Quinta golf course lake has been recovered, authorities said today.
The victim was a member of a work crew cleaning plant material from an artificial lake at the PGA West Country Club, La Quinta Police Department Sgt. Randy Vasquez said.
The accident occurred around 1:55 p.m. Tuesday, Vasquez said.
Efforts by the victim’s co-workers to save him were unsuccessful, and his body was eventually located late Tuesday by members of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Dive Team, Vasquez said.
