Palm Springs approves 4th marijuana dispensary

A 4th medical marijuana dispensary is on the way in Palm Springs.

The city was considering 8 applicants. The city council approved Palm Springs Safe Access at Wednesday night’s meeting.

A previous vote was delayed because the shop is less than 500 feet from Wet ‘n Wild Water Park. Opponents had argued that was too close to a family friendly facility.

Palm Springs was the first city in the valley to allow medical marijuana shops to open. The Cathedral City council recently voted to become the 2nd.
