Deputies investigating after man killed in Joshua Tree

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a homicide after the body of a 46-year-old man was discovered at a home in the 6700 block of California Avenue in Joshua Tree Sunday afternoon.

Paramedics responded to a medical call around 4 p.m. when they found the body of Marko Bewersdorff. Deputies were called to investigate and determined he was murdered.

Bewersdorff was from Joshua Tree.

Authorities aren’t releasing many details at this time. Homicide detectives are assisting the sheriff’s department as the investigation continues.
