Missing La Quinta man found safe in Indio
An elderly man with dementia who went missing Monday afternoon was found safe and unharmed in Indio Tuesday.
According to Deputy Armando Munoz with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, 83-year-old Lawrence Hoodye disappeared around 4 p.m. near Jefferson Street and Miles Avenue on Monday.
The La Quinta Police Department issued an alert when Hoodye was still unaccounted for Tuesday morning.
He was returned to his family Tuesday after being found in Indio. There was no immediate word regarding his whereabouts overnight.
