Free flu shots offered for seniors

Seniors have a chance to get a free flu shot at the 26th Senior Lifestyle Expo in Palm Springs Friday.

The expo is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. at Mizell Senior Center, located at 480 S. Sunrise Way. The event will feature health and legal seminars, information booths, a rummage sale and a farmers’ market in addition to the free flu shots, according to senior care officials.

It’s too late to make an appointment for a flu shot, but they will be available on a walk-in basis. People with appointments will get priority. The Senior Lifestyle Expo will go until 2 p.m.
