PSUSD Aquatic Center finds home at Cathedral City HS

Cathedral City High School will be the site for the PSUSD Aquatic Center. The school board voted unanimously on the swimming pool’s location at Tuesday night’s meeting.

News Channel 3 and CBS Local 2 contacted Joan Boiko, spokesperson for the Palm Springs Unified School District, Wednesday morning. Boiko said the Aquatic Center will be designed to serve students in the West Valley. The larger pool is necessary and will provide enough space for multiple schools to use the facility at the same time.

She also said the pool will open in about two years. The school board allocated nearly $4M for the project.

News Channel 3 and CBS Local 2 will have more specifics on the Aquatic Center Wednesday night.
