Man killed in hit and run was actually hit by 3 vehicles

The California Highway Patrol released new information Thursday morning regarding a deadly hit and run crash in Cathedral City that happened Wednesday, October 22.

Teodoro Torres, 51, was struck by a hit and run driver while crossing Ramon Road and was then hit by an ambulance that was already taken a different hit and run victim to the hospital.

Through the investigation, CHP learned that a third vehicle actually hit Torres after the ambulance struck him.

Officer Mike Radford said the third vehicle was a dark colored sedan. If anyone has additional information about the collision, you’re asked to call Officer Garcia at 760-772-8911.

Torres died from injuries sustained in the multiple collisions on Friday night with family members by his side.
