Drought-stricken California is releasing new figures to show how well residents are complying with a statewide water-saving target.
The state water board is due to announce the latest statewide counts Tuesday for average water use.
California as of the end of October marked the driest three years in state history. Gov. Jerry Brown has asked Californians to cut water use by 20 percent.
Figures released earlier in the year showed Californians’ water use ranging from 49 gallons a day in Santa Cruz to a whopping 580 gallons in a posh part of San Diego.
