Coachella police search for hit & run driver
A woman was hospitalized after being struck by a hit-and-run driver at a crosswalk in Coachella Monday night.
Deputies said the suspect’s vehicle is a dark- colored four-door sedan.
The woman, whose name was withheld, was struck by the westbound vehicle on Avenue 49 at Calle Abelia at about 5:30 p.m. and was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, Riverside County sheriff’s Sgt. Daniel Porras said.
