Moreno Valley woman accused of murdering her boyfriend

A 43-year-old Moreno Valley woman has been arrested on charges of murdering her boyfriend after his body was discovered along Highway 60 on Thursday, December 4.

The body of Juan Servin, 47, was found in the area of Highway 60, 1.5 miles east of Gilman Springs Road in an unincorporated area of Riverside County. Authorities said he appeared to have suffered traumatic injuries, causing his death.

Detectives said they located a crime scene at a home in the 16400 block of Hazelwood Court in Moreno Valley on December 5, and subsequently arrested Servin’s girlfriend Darla Bennett for homicide.

Authorities haven’t given many details about the crime at this point.

Bennett was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside.
