Several Hooters restaurants slated to open in Coachella Valley

Hooters of America, LLC, announced a new development agreement with Chandi Group USA to build multiple Hooters restaurants in the Coachella Valley.

According to the release, restaurants will be built in Palm Springs, Indio, Coachella and Cathedral City. The first location is expected to open late in the summer of 2015.

Corporate officials said Hooters restaurant sales continue to gain momentum around the world, and Hooters company-owned stores posted same store sales growth of 3.6 percent in the third quarter of 2014.

“Our focus on food, atmosphere and service continues to pay dividends. Guests are responding enthusiastically to our newly remodeled restaurants, and potential franchisees are also taking note,” said Terry Marks, CEO, Hooters of America. “We are delighted to welcome Nachattar Chandi and his highly successful team to the Hooters family.”

Hooters remodeled or refreshed 55 U.S. locations over the past 18 months, with plans to remodel in excess of 30 additional units in 2015, according to the release. Each of Chandi’s locations will feature all of the contemporary design elements that were implemented.

The restaurant chain is looking to expand with 150 additional locations worldwide in the next five years.
